Andrew Blair (Swell Redshift)
Andy is the defending Cape to Cape WA Champion and coming off a stellar MTB season. Andy capped off the 2011/12 season by being crowned the Real Insurance National Series Champion, and is the current leader in the Real Insurance XCM Series. Andy returns to Cape to Cape in exceptional form, and is excited at having the opportunity to defend his title as Cape to Cape Champion.

John Henderson
John has been riding and racing mountain bikes since it developed into a family sport in the early 2000′s and began riding for the love of the sport. John won the 2011/12 Super Maters XC National Series and is looking forward to competing in his first Cape to Cape.

Bec Henderson
Bec Henderson was Australia’s sole female MTB representative at the 2012 London Olympics. Bec’s World Cup results this season have been the best by an Australian for more than a decade; she finished the U23 World Cup series in 2nd and had 5 out of 7 podium performances. Bec first rode the Cape to Cape in 2010 and rates it as one of the best mountain bike stage races she has done.

Craig Cooke
Craig started racing at the age of 10 in the UK and represented Great Britain as a junior in both road and cyclo-cross races. Craig has been competing in WA in both MTB and road races, and is coming off a breakthrough season in 2011 achieving 3rd in the Dwellingup 100 and 4th in the Cape to Cape.

Dan McConnell (Anytime Fitness/Trek Team)
Dan enters the 2012 Cape to Cape as a 2-time Olympian and the current 2012 National Champion. After a big season in Europe, Dan will be using the Cape to Cape as the start of his training phase, but as a past contestant, it’s safe to say that Dan will be in contention for the 2012 Title.

Dave Nairn (Wembley Cycles Racing)
After returning from the BC Bike Race in Canada with good form last year, Dave had a brilliant ride in the 2012 Cape to Cape to finish 8th overall and is looking to consolidate his spot in the top ten again this year. Being one of WA’s most technically advanced riders, cemented by his strong performance in the Pemberton state round, he is looking forward to Stage 3 where the singletrack of the Margaret River pines will suit his skills. |

Chris Fisher (Wembley Cycles Racing)
Chris Fisher is looking for a good result at this year’s Cape to Cape after supporting team mate Dave Nairn to retain his 8th overall placing in 2012. After a 2nd place finish at this year’s Veterans NZ National Champs, 11th overall in the National Marathon Champs and top 20 in BC Bike Race 2012 he is Wembley Cycles Racing’s powerhouse and will try to use the open sections to his advantage. |

Adrian Middleton (Wembley Cycles Racing)
Adrian Middleton, local elite racer and Captain of the newly amalgamated Wembley Cycles Racing Team is looking forward to the 2013 edition of the Cape to Cape. Adrian raced the NZ Nationals this year finishing with a respectable 10th place in the Veterans Category and is training hard to better his best result of 13th overall from 2010. Along with the Margaret River region being one of WA’s best destinations he really enjoys the mix of solid racing and the social atmosphere of the Cape to Cape. |

Dylan Cooper (Rockstar Racing)
Dylan Cooper has returned to domestic racing in Australia after spending years on the European and Asian racing circuits. The multiple Australian representative won the inaugural XCM series in 2011. With plenty of titles under his belt, he’ll be looking to add a victory in his first Cape to Cape to his list.

Jodie Willet
Jodie has been riding since 2006 and has enjoyed great success at National Level. Jodie finished 3rd at the Australian XCO Championships in 2009 and 2012, and was the winner of the Red Centre Stage Race in 2010. In 2009, Jodie was named the Queensland Elite Female Road Cyclist of the Year, and has since moved into coaching.

Jenni King
Jenni is very excited to be returning to the Margaret River region to defend her 2011 Cape to Cape Title, and has been training hard to make sure she’s in top form for the 2012 Race. Jenni is coming off her most successful domestic season of racing by finishing undefeated in the 2011/12 National XC Series and winning the National XC Championship.

Jenny Fay
Jenny is a former Irish National TT Champion, and has raced professionally on the road at an international level and on the mountain bike at National level in Australia. Jenny was the 2011 Real Insurance XCM Series Champion, and is the current leader in the 2012 Series.

Nic Leary
The kiwi challenge comes in the form of 2010 Oceania Elite Womens XC Champion Nic Leary. The 2011 Cape to Cape saw Leary’s return to serious competition following a year out with illness/injury and she enjoyed it so much she is back for more this year. A versatile athlete, Leary is a multiple NZ Elite champion in both XC MTB and XTERRA.

Nick Both
Returning from a badly broken collarbone in 2010, Nick a solid if not spectacular return to competition in 2011. Having raced road, MTB and ‘cross, Nick is one of the most versatile riders around. Nick has previously placed 4th in the Oceania MTB championships and 15th in the “Off Road Tour de France” against a star studded international field.

Niki Fisher
Niki started riding during her lunch hours when she was a student more than 10 years ago. Niki’s achievements include winning the National Series Championships in 2004, 2005, Wildside Mountain Bike Stage Race in Tasmania in 2005 and 2006, Western Australia’s Cape to Cape Stage Race in 2008, 2009, 2010 and representing Australia at the 2005 World Championships.

Peter Hatton
Peter has been riding for the Plan B Racing Team, a WA based road cycling team racing throughout Asia and the National Road Series for 2012. However, MTB is still one of Peter’s obsessions and after finishing 3rd at last years Cape to Cape, he can’t wait to return for another shot at the title.

Rohin Adams
Rohin is returning to the Cape to Cape for the 5th time and is looking forward to coming back to what he considers as great event that he’ll give his all in. Rohin’s familiarity with the event will ensure that he’s one to watch in the 2012 race.

Troy Glennan
Troy is looking forward to returning to the Cape to Cape in 2012 after missing the 2011 event. Troy hasn’t raced a lot this year, but is feeling fresh and will be looking to improve on his Stage 2 result from the 2010 Race where he placed 2nd.

Shaun Lewis
Shaun started racing in 1998 and has been loving MTB ever since. 2012 has been Shaun’s best year yet, winning the Wombat 100k, Capital Punishment 100k and Husky 100k to lead the Real Insurance Series into the final round. In 2012, Shaun is hoping to improve on his 6th place result from last year.
