Free skills clinics announced to help you prepare for 2024 Cape to Cape
Cape to Cape has partnered with Dunsborough MTB School to provide free skills clinics to help you prepare and improve your skills and confidence before you ride.
The clinics are ideal for first timers and those just wanting to hone their skills, and will be held at the Dunsborough MTB Park on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September.
Head instructor, Andy van Kann, has completed the last three C2C's and is a regular MTB cross-country marathon racer. He has an international senior coaching accreditation (including eMTB) with over 3000 hours coaching experience.
Andy will be joined by past Cape to Cape winners Kristen Gardner and Monique Vollprecht across the two days. On Saturday, 2021 Open Women’s Pairs winner Kristen will be on hand on the 7th and Monique who claimed three stages wins and the overall Masters Category in 2022 will be supporting the clinic on Sunday 8th.
Covering the fundamental skills that will help you have an enjoyable and safe experience on you C2C journey, the sessions will improve your balance and stability and help you become more confident on single tracks and technical features.
Most importantly, the sessions and the race itself, will be heaps of fun.
You will also have the opportunity to sample some of the final stage of 2024 Cape to Cape. The clinics cover all the fundamental skills of MTB riding and bike operation to build up your skills and confidence ahead of the race.
The clinics are available for group or individual sessions including ladies only groups.
