Aussies Taking On The World At Cape Epic

13 February 2020

The Absa Cape Epic is the worlds biggest and most prestigious MTB Stage Race, covering 647km across 8 days with over 15,000m of climbing. Its a true challenge that any Marathon MTBer should certainly have on their bucket list! As a part of the Epic Series along with the Swiss Epic, The Pioneer, and Cape to Cape, Reef to Reef and Port to Port, it's really just another one to add to your racing schedule sometime in the future...

This year there are 20 Australian teams taking part, and one of those is the duo of Imogen Smith and Briony Mattocks who will be racing in MarathonMTB.com colours.

These two are both absolute frothers for a bit of Stage Racing and show up all over at the Triple Crown races, very often at the front of the field! We'll be pulling hard for them as they take on the worlds best over in South Africa. Head over to AMB Mag to read the full chat with these two before they shoot off in just under a months time.

Don't forget that a number of lucky riders at all of our Triple Crown races will win a spot at the Cape Epic 2021! Make sure to keep your eyes out for the entry draw and maybe you'll be on the start line in 2021...
