WELCOME MESSAGE FROM
HON DAVID TEMPLEMAN MLA, MINISTER FOR TOURISM &
HON ALANNAH MACTIERNAN MLC, MINISTER FOR REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The McGowan Government is a proud sponsor of the Cape to Cape MTB through its Regional Events Program.
The program was devised as a way for the Government to support medium to large events in regional Western Australia to boost tourism, increase community vibrancy and participation, and develop regional areas.
The Regional Events Program also plays an important role in positioning Western Australia as an exciting destination to visit and a great place to live by showcasing and promoting a region’s unique and diverse attractions.
Tourism is a key part of the Government’s plan to diversify the economy, create jobs and develop business opportunities particularly to help regional economies and communities in Western Australia.
Events play an important role in this plan, with the Government sponsoring a range of sporting, cultural, arts and culinary events across the State, through Tourism Western Australia, to attract visitors, encourage them to stay longer, disperse further and do more while they are here.
We hope everyone enjoys this event and takes the time to explore the Margaret River region.

Welcome Message from Shire of Augusta
Good luck to all riders participating in the 2021 Cape to Cape Mountain Bike Event. How lucky are we that this event is able to go ahead in spectacular Margaret River Region!
As always, this year’s routes offer something for everyone. The hills, rocks, sand, gravel, mud and water offer up challenges along the way, while the ever changing mix of single track and open road keep things interesting.
All along, there is spectacular interchanging scenery of the forest, coast, and vineyards to enjoy…. and course, the good company of over 1,000 other riders!!
Ride hard, we’ll see you at the finish line in four days time.

Welcome Message from City of Busselton
The City of Busselton welcomes spectators and competitors to the Cape to Cape 2021.
After an interrupted last year, we are excited to once again host and support Australasia’s longest running and biggest MTB race. The spectacular course takes in some of the state’s most picturesque scenery, from undulating coastlines to tall-timber forests.
The course sees some old favourite haunts return, mixed with new trails. We are particularly excited about Stage 4, which sees Cape to Cape 2021 return to a finish in Dunsborough. The event organisers have worked tirelessly to make this happen and I am sure the participants will be happy with the result.
The South West region is the perfect setting for this nature-based event. Busselton, Dunsborough and Yallingup are friendly and bustling towns offering great shopping, relaxed dining, and fantastic entertainment. We encourage you to make the most of your stay, experiencing the many tourism offerings our region has in abundance.
I extend my congratulations to event organisers and wish participants and all those involved with Cape to Cape 2021 a fantastic race day. May the good times roll!
Mayor Grant Henley
