STAGE 4: COURSE DESCRIPTION

Distance: 42km

Elevation: 862m

Start/Finish Venue: Wise Wine, 237 Eagle Bay Rd, Eagle Bay WA 6281

Start Time: 8am

Course Description: After three days of riding the race heads to the second Cape, of Cape Naturaliste for a final test. Riders will experience a bunch of the best trails around Dunsborough and Meelup in between the start and finish at Wise Wines.

Having worked the field over through the first three stages riders will need to have a little bit left in the tank to smash out the final 42 kilometres.

Riders start by rolling down Eagle Bay Road, one of Western Australia's iconic coastal roads. Before heading straight up onto Eagle Bay-Meelup Beach Road, where the view of the ocean is nearly as breathtaking as the bitumen climbs that will break up the field.

Dropping into a fast fire road decent followed with a hard left you will find yourself battling up the first of three solid climbs and a mixture of exciting downs and back in to the Wise estate.

Once riders are back into Wise Wines, the course will wind back and cross back through the event site where spectators will be able to get up close and personal with the riders. Descending through the hand cut Lot 80 trails before encountering the long climb out to the trails around Dunsborough Country Club.

There riders will come across the famed West Australian pea gravel and some rock formations, which will require mustering every last bit of strength and concentration to smash out this section of nearly 22km of single track mixed with a bit of fire trail to break things up!

One last climb back up Cape Naturaliste Road and a short ride down Meelup Beach Rd will bring riders back to the finish line at Wise Winery to toast being a Cape to Cape finisher with a Vino, CB Co. craft beer or maybe even a gin, made especially for the event by the master distiller at Wise.

Subject to change up until race morning briefing.
